The course aims to introduce the students to the scientific area of pediatrics and to teach them about the normal growth and development of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, as well as concomitant diseases. At the end of the course, students can determine the stages of child development, know how healthy children are monitored over time, and the clinical examination and diagnosis of diseases in pediatrics. The knowledge of the pediatrician's way of thinking aims to improve communication and collaboration between the speech therapist and the pediatrician.

- Pediatric nutrition
- First aid in pediatrics, trauma, and acute events
- Infectious diseases, vaccines
- Common infections in pediatrics, respiratory system, ENT
- Prenatal testing, newer genetic diagnostic methods – Neonatology
- Clinical genetics
- Pediatric neurology
- Elements of immunology, allergology, hematology, oncology
- Diseases of the digestive system, endocrine glands
- Pediatric dermatology, musculoskeletal diseases
- The course includes an analysis of interesting clinical cases.
